‘Troubling!’ Fulton County grand jury wanted to charge Lindsey Graham AND others…

It’s fairly clear that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took a scattergun approach when leveling charges for alleged election interference in the 2020 presidential election — the more the merrier.

In all, there were 18 people indicted in addition to former President Donald Trump in a case that legal pundits have seen as weak from the jump, but the final report showed that the Fulton County special grand jury recommended charges against 39 people, according to Fox News. A development that may shed a little light on the mindset of those who sat on the panel.

As for who was on the list that escaped charges, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., topped the list but he was far from alone.

Former Georgia Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, both Republicans, were recommended for charges, as was former Trump official Michael Flynn. Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn and lawyers Lin Wood and Cleta Mitchell were also on the list recommended for charges — it’s not clear what charges they may have faced or why they were not charged.

Trump was charged with one count of violation of the Georgia RICO Act, three counts of criminal solicitation, six counts of criminal conspiracy, one count of filing false documents and two counts of making false statements, while former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows, former Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis were also charged, Fox News reported.

Graham has denied any wrongdoing, saying over the summer that concern for voter fraud should not come with a prison sentence.

“I was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and had to vote on certifying an election,” the GOP senator said, according to the Daily Mail. “This is ridiculous. This weaponization of the law needs to stop. So I will use the courts. We will go as far as we need to go and do whatever needs to be done to make sure that people like me can do their jobs without fear of some county prosecutor coming after you.”

A Trump campaign spokesperson responded to the latest development by questioning the integrity of the grand jury.

“Democrat Partisan Fani Willis and her unlawfully constructed, politically motivated, so-called ‘Special Grand Jury’ have now been completely exposed as operatives and tools of the radical Democrats that they are,” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “In a clearly biased, un-American act, a majority of the ‘Special Grand Jurors’ voted to indict dozens of innocent individuals, including former and sitting United States Senators, simply for raising concerns about election integrity and exercising their First Amendment Rights under the Constitution.”

Graham also commented on the revelation calling it “troubling for the country.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story as seen on X:
